BELIEVING in Bradford has announced that 14 people have been chosen to act as Bradford Ambassadors for the 2019-20 year.
They come from all over the district and from a wide variety of backgrounds and faiths. They range in age from students to retired people but the group said "what they all have in common is a desire to show Bradford in its best light and to highlight the great things going on in our city and district".
The new Ambassadors will start work with an introductory session on October 5, and will then represent the city and district at a variety of civic occasions and events, working with the Lord Mayor Cllr Doreen Lee, the Bishop of Bradford, the Right Rev Toby Howarth, and Bradford Ambassadors from previous years.
Bishop Toby said: “I am delighted to see the enthusiasm that these people have for Bradford, and look forward to getting to know them as we work together for the good of our district.”
Raj Parmar, one of the new Ambassadors, said: “I am truly honoured and humbled to have been selected as an ambassador for Bradford. I absolutely love this city and look forward to promoting the opportunities that exist and working alongside the team to ensure Bradford is seen in a positive light not just locally but on a national and international scale.”
