SHOPPERS were invited to have their say on how they believe Brexit will affect Britain.

A Brexitometer was set up on the corner of Trinity Street in Colchester by members of the Colchester and Tendring for Europe group, which is linked to the wider People’s Vote campaign calling for a second referendum on the final Brexit deal.

Shoppers were encouraged to put a coloured dot on a chart to indicate whether they thought Brexit would make things better or worse for the NHS and social care, jobs, the economy and trade.

They were also asked to indicate whether residents should have a vote on the final Brexit deal.

The results found 79 respondents said residents should have a vote on the final Brexit deal and 20 said they should not.
