WEST Wirral Musical Society will stage its production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s Patience from October 2-5.

Directed by Barry Prescott, it will be performed at Westbourne Hall in Westbourne Road, West Kirby.

Market day

AN Artisan Community Market will be held at St Andrew’s Church in Graham Road, West Kirby this Saturday from 10am-3pm.

A wide range of quality items and gifts will be on sale.

There is also a children’s craft table and café selling homemade soups, bread and cakes.

Local charity The Sensory Shack will receive the proceeds of sales from the café.

Organfest

TWELVE of the north-west's top organists will play during an event at St James’ Church in New Brighton this Saturday from 10am-4pm.

Organfest 2 will showcase a variety of music and organists playing for half-an-hour each on the historic organ.

Book fair

WIRRAL book fair takes place at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton this Saturday.

It promises a wide range of books for all tastes and ages, pockets and purses.

There will be children’s literature, annuals and local history including maps, prints and postcards.

You can also meet author Cathy Roberts and local historians. The event takes place from 11am-4pm. Admission free.

New Brighton Townswomen

THERE will be a talk entitled Potatoes and Lace when New Brighton Townswomen’s Guild meets tomorrow (Thursday, September 12).

HOYLAKE & District Gardening Society meets on the third Thursday of the month at St Michaels & All Angels Church Centre, Newton.

A POP-up event where people discuss all things about death will be held at Popsy’s Coffee Bar in Hoylake Parade Community Centre tonight (Wednesday) from 7-9pm.

It is a chance to drink tea, eat cake and discuss death in a friendly and relaxed environment.
