POLICE are appealing for information after prescription medication was stolen from a home in Egremont.

Officers received a report that at sometime between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday, September 4, items were stolen from a home on Rice Hey Road.

Along with other items, several batches of prescription medication was snatched, which includes; 200 x 30mg dyhdrocodiene, 116 x 100mg Quetiapine and 28 x 15mg metazapine.

Merseyside Police has now issued a warning of the lethal consequences of taking such drug if it has not been prescribed to you.

An investigation is currently underway into the incident.

Anyone with information or who finds any of the medication is asked to hand it in to any pharmacy or police station and contact Merseyside Police via @MerPolCC or call101 quoting ref. 19100500412.
