THIS is a general rant about the poor quality of service provided by the council.

Monday, August bank holiday, Lifeboat Day at Hoylake - the busiest day of the year for the locality and the promenade with more visitors than any other day.

Why were the public toilets at the Meols end of the promenade closed? (and the following day too) while the resurfacing of roads for the OVO cycle route seems sensible has anyone in the council considered or viewed the consequences?

Many have been gritted, to try to cycle on those roads now would not only be dangerous but would probably puncture tyres, especially racing bikes.

The impact of cars merely creates ridges which will hamper cyclists.

The debacle on Hilbre Island is yet another case of the council unable to effectively manage works it sub-contracts.

However, services it delivers are usually inspected and considered inadequate.
