A BRAND new Indian restaurant is heading to Moreton.

Dhuma, based on Hoylake Road, will offer a traditional Indian menu while catering for all with a selection of tasty vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes.

Head chef Salam Abdul has worked at some of the UK's most prestigious restaurants in Mayfair, Notting Hill and Fulham - even spending some time working with the notorious Gordon Ramsay.

Salam said: "I have worked with a lot of amazing chefs all over the world.

"Just because someone is of high profile, it doesn’t mean they are better than others.

"I have worked in a wide range of restaurants cooking all different types of cuisines.

"My style of cooking is rather unique and the ideas that Mahfuz has for Dhuma matched my own ambition, so we can’t wait to get started.”

Along with signature dishes, Dhuma will offer an extensive drinks menu, and guests can expect carefully crafted cocktails plus an array of flavoured gins served with fresh fruit and edible flowers.

For those who prefer beer, there will be an option for Kingfisher/Cobra as well as locally brewed Love Lane IPA.

Owner Mahfuz Rahman told the Globe: "Well, we have put together a team who we really believe are destined for great things. Combined, we have too many years to mention in the hospitality industry!”

"We are far from old - we just started out young! And now, from award winning restaurateurs, international chefs and highly trained, vastly experienced front of house team....we believe we have a special team here.”
