THERE will be a chance to find out how NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group has used budgets to deliver better healthcare services during its general meeting later this month.

Taking place on Tuesday, September 17, from 2pm to 4pm, it will be held at The Lauries in Claughton Road, Birkenhead.

From 1.15pm, people can also spend time at individual stalls talking to CCG teams about their commissioning work over the past 12 months, and meet other local organisations.

NHS Wirral CCG is responsible for planning, designing and buying of most NHS services for the people of Wirral, including care people receive in hospital and in community clinics. This process is known as commissioning.

The event is an opportunity to showcase the work the CCG has done over the past twelve months and to hear about its plans for the future.

There will also be an opportunity to hear from the executive team who will provide an update on the overall work of the CCG.

Dr Paula Cowan, chairwoman of NHS Wirral CCG, said: "We would very much like to invite and encourage you to attend our annual meeting.

"This gives us an opportunity to share with you areas we are working on developing and services we are redesigning.

"Yet more importantly, it allows you an equal opportunity to share your feedback to us as an organisation and how we can work with you to improve the delivery of health and care to the Wirral population".

Everyone is welcome, but to gain an idea of numbers people are asked to register via www.wirralccg.nhs.net or email WICCG.InTouch@nhs.net

People can also submit questions in advance via the email address.
