HUNDREDS of comic fans and families enjoyed Chester Comic Con at the weekend.

With stars such as Tim McInnery and Spencer Wilding to meet, attractions such as Optimus Prime and The Simpsons bus, and local artists such as comic book publishers Hellbound Media and tattooist Lady Boris of Inked Up in Chester, there was lots to see and do at the event held at Chester Racecourse.

After the event, organisers said: "Another fantastic con day down at the racecourse, the weather was on our side so we really hope you all enjoyed it.
"And so we move on, a few months off and we'll start planning 2020 in January. Until next time people."

Comments on the events Facebook page have been positive, with many looking forward to next year's event.
Good Omens and Umbrella Academy cosplay
One said: "Nice relaxed atmosphere. Had a great time everybody was nice and helpful from the stewards to the guy, who sat with my four-year-old daughter and helped her draw. Will definitely go again."
Another added: "Great day, very well organised and with a lovely friendly atmosphere."
