AN AWARD-winning Indian restaurant in Tarporley is to close.

The Red Fox on Nantwich Road, run by Kismet Miah, celebrated its tenth anniversary in the village in 2017.

Today, on the restaurant's Facebook page, Kismet said that the restaurant was to close due to health issues.

He added that new owners were due to take on the site.

He said: "It is with a heavy heart that we make this post, to tell you that due to health issues we have had to make the decision to close The Red Fox. The restaurant will be soon under new ownership .

"We would just like to thank all our customers who supported us on our journey, we made lots of good friends along the way and we will miss you guys!!

"Sincerely, Kismet Miah & The Team."

Customers have been wishing Kismet and the team well on social media.
