THE Merseyside restaurant which featured on BBC 2's My Million Pound Menu has launched a new lunch offer.

Pilgrim, based in the recently opened Duke Street Market in Liverpool, has launched a brand new lunch menu that includes three plates for just £15.

Founded by Jamie Duffield, Dave Bone and Anthony Power, Pilgrim secured investment on the show from Graffiti Spirits Group's director Matt Farrell.

The 52-cover restaurant now sits upstairs in Graffiti Spirit Group's new venture Duke Street Market.

It boasts a daily-changing menu comprised of sustainable and seasonal dishes that showcase the best ingredients.

Drawing inspiration from the ancient pilgrimage Camino De Santiago, Pilgrim is transforming tapas.

Now, a new offer allows diners to enjoy three small plates for just £15 from Wednesday to Friday.

This lunch menu includes dishes such as Mackerel with piquillo pepper and olive, coal-roasted courgette, flowers, cabrales and seeds.

There is also a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options available.

Co-Director Jamie Duffield, said: “We’re delighted that Pilgrim has been welcomed by the people of Liverpool and so far, many have dined with us to experience our take on Camino De Santiago-inspired cuisine.

“We’ve introduced this new lunchtime menu for those seeking delicious food during the day; whether they want a leisurely lunch or an express dining experience while on their breaks from work.

“The menu contains small plates that feature delicious, quality ingredients and we really hope guests enjoy their pilgrimage with us.”

The lunchtime menu also sees large plates on offer for those with a heartier appetite and include fire pit vegetables with ajo blanco (£14), Hake steak with mojo icon (£25) and Chuleta beef rib with bone marrow salsa (£70) - consisting of 800g of Galacian ex-dairy cow, which is renowned in the industry as some of the best beef available.

Pilgrim also offers its very own twist on a traditional Sunday roast with its Whole Beast Roasts that feature a different ‘beast’ each week such as whole suckling pig.

Available from 12pm, guests can feast on Pilgrim’s roasts for £20 with all of the trimmings.
