A MAN was taken to hospital after being rescued from the River Mersey.
Emergency services were called at around 12pm on Thursday, July 18 following reports of a man being seen in the River Mersey near to Woodside Ferry Terminal.
A 69-year-old man was pulled from the river onto a rescue boat and was taken across to Liverpool Pier Head by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service's Marine Rescue Unit.
He was given first aid and oxygen before being taken to hospital for treatment.
