THE Early Years Award was extra special for winners Culcheth Day Nursery as the team celebrated both its 25th year and an outstanding Ofsted report.
For this category the Warrington Guardian wanted to hear about nurseries and childminders whose hard work and dedication helps provide the best possible education for children beginning their learning journeys.
Culcheth Day Nursery was described as ‘awesome’ in nominations for always going above and beyond to nurture and develop the children in its care, with all staff described as superstars.

Not only did nominations come from current parents but also from those whose little ones have since moved on to primary school – describing it as more of an extended family than a nursery.
Sponsored by Warrington Borough Council, shocked nursery manager Debbie Byrne-Davies and her team, took the stage to receive the award.
Debbie said: “I’m very proud that we have been open 25 years this year serving Culcheth and our community.
“We’ve achieved outstanding this year which is amazing and there is nothing that gives me more pride than seeing the children of Culcheth Community Primary, who are our ex pupils, standing up singing here tonight.
“It’s a very special award given our 25 years and Ofsted result.”
Jack and Jill Pre-School in Old Hall were highly commended in this category for their efforts in transforming their provision, just two years after facing closure.
