A BLACON business has been commissioned to deliver an exciting four-week programme for young people as part of the National Citizen Service (NCS).

Rage Fitness Company, based at Blacon Adventure Playground and offers a range of initiatives aimed at improving physical and mental health and well-being, will be delivering the course over the summer holidays.

NCS is open to all 15- to 17-year-olds in England, bringing together young people from different backgrounds and helping them to develop greater confidence and build skills for work and life.

Working with youth charity Youthfed, the Rage programme offers participants the chance to try exciting activities and get involved in projects to make a real difference to the local community.

Craig Brown, CEO of Rage Fitness Company, said: “The NCS is a highly prestigious scheme which we’re honoured to be involved with.

“This is a great opportunity for young people to engage with a fabulous range of activities, which will not only be enjoyable but will challenge and inspire them to learn valuable new skills.”

Blacon Adventure Playground is managed by social enterprise Avenue Services, which is supporting Rage to deliver the NCS programme.

Chris Leicester, neighbourhood partnerships manager at Avenue Services, added: “Rage Fitness Company is going from strength to strength and providing a valuable service for people in Blacon and across Chester.

“We’re very pleased to be helping them establish this exciting new service.”

The Blacon summer NCS programme starts on Monday, July 29. For more information, or to book a place, visit www.ragefitnesscompany.com or call 07513 182855.
