I WOULD like, through Wirral Globe, to thank all residents of the Hamilton and Mount Road areas of Wallasey who put in so much work to sign the petition to get our bus reinstated.

My thanks to the shops in Mount Road and also Jean’s Cafe, Liscard.

Unfortunately, we have not been successful at this time in getting any service at all.

Merseytravel approached Arriva to see if a replacement could be found, or if they could re-route the number 410 or 414.

Again they said this could not be done, as it would not be in the interest of passengers who use these routes.

The only way we may ever get a bus to serve this area is by more funding being made available.

This, I think, will not happen as things stand.

I am only sorry the outcome was not what we hoped for.
