I WOULD like to say a huge thanks to the rapid response team at St Catherine's Hospital, Birkenhead.

My husband is blind, bedridden and has dementia.

I tried to do it all myself, but had to give in and have help.

We had the NHS rapid response team, wonderful care, then this team of 10 ladies told me they were to be made redundant.

I was livid.

A private company took over; lower standards, people not trained properly, far too many calls to care for very ill people, a lot on their own.

The NHS ladies have saved NHS £1m keeping people in their homes and away from A&E.

Wake up Britain, the NHS is going bit by bit.

I would like to meet the person who implemented this.
