A FOUR-YEAR-OLD dog is looking for her forever home.

Collie cross Bonnie doesn't enjoy living in a kennel at Dogs Trust Merseyside and would much rather find a loving family to begin a new life with.

She would be best suited in an adult only home.

A Dogs Trust Merseyside spokeswoman said: "Bonnie is a bright collie cross, who loves to have her own armchair to snooze on, and would love to find a new family that will take their time with her.

"She doesn't enjoy kennel life and patience is going to be key with Bonnie, while she finds her feet. Bonnie loves to play with balls, and this is a great way to make friends with her.

"She's incredibly soppy once she's got to know you and loves to be made a fuss of. She’d love a quiet environment with not too many visitors, so that she can settle back into a normal routine.

"She loves her exercise and would probably enjoy an active lifestyle once she's comfortable and confident again. She'd love a certain place in the home to call her own, where she knows she can retreat to without being mithered.

"Bonnie frets when alone, and needs a family who will be with her all the time, but who can gradually work towards leaving her alone for longer periods."
