WIRRAL has got a few famous current and former residents - but can you guess which celebrities features in the list of top Wikipedia searches?

A People Map of the UK, where city names have been replaced by their most Wikipedia’ed resident, has been put together by data website The Pudding.

The Wikipedia list has been put together with people who were born in, lived in, or connected to a place with any person on the free encyclopedia website under consideration including those connected to and victims of criminal acts.

And it's found the most searched for celebrity in Birkenhead in Taron Egerton.

The Hollywood actor was born in 1989 in Merseyside with his family running a bed-and-breakfast and his mum working for social services.

After spending his early childhood in Wirral, Taron moved to Anglesey where he went to primary school.

Having seen success in blockbuster hit Kingsman, most recently Taron starred as Elton John in the biopic Rocketman and has even gone on to perform a live duet with the music legend.

But it's not just Birkenhead that has an entry on the map, celebrity chef and Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood has replaced Wallasey after being born in the area and studying at The Mosslands School.

The 53-year-old studied sculpture at the Wallasey School of Art but left to start working for his father's bakery before going on to become head baker at hotels including The Dorchester and Chester Grosvenor.

While West Kirby has been wiped off the map and replaced with musician Bill Ryder-Jones.

Bill co-founded band The Coral in 1996 and played as their lead guitarist until 2008.

He then embarked on a solo career and has since released albums: If...; A Bad Wind Blows in My Heart; Piggy Soundtrack; West Kirby County Primary; Yawn.
