A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a car overturned in Upton.
Emergency services were called to Moreton Road at around 9am today (Thursday, June 13) following reports of a collision involving one car on its side.
On arrival paramedics found a woman, in her early 70s, trapped inside the car.
Firefighters removed the roof of the car in order for paramedics to treat the woman.
The woman was then taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service paramedics.
Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
