A SEVERE flood alert for across Wirral has now been removed.
An amber warning for flooding was put in place in areas such as Wallasey, Hoylake, Heswall, Bebington and Ellesmere Port on Wednesday, June 13 and was expected to continue today.
The Environment Agency now say that due to river levels already peaking the flood alert has been removed.
A spokesman said: "River levels have peaked and will remain steady, with no further rise forecast.
"Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 9 hours. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert if necessary."
