A FLOOD warning has been put in place for Wirral as heavy rain continues to pour.
An amber warning for flooding has been put in place in areas such as Wallasey, Hoylake, Heswall, Bebington and Ellesmere Port.
With river levels rising there is flooding on low land, roads and farmland and this is expected to continue into tomorrow (Thursday, June 13).
The Environment Agency say there is a possibility of flooding around the following rivers: Fender; Birket; Rivacre; Dibbinsdale and Arrowe Brook.
In a statement, a spokesman said: "Rainfall will be easing throughout today (Wednesday, June 12) but further heavy showers will affect the area this evening and into tomorrow morning.
"We expect river levels to remain high for the next 24 hours.
"Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further updates as necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation."
