BIRKENHEAD'S new food-hall has revealed three new food vendors set to join the project.

Caffe Cream, EastZEast and The Refreshment Rooms will feature at Woodside Ferry Village along with the already-announced Bacaro, Sukhothai and Cowfish Smokehouse.

The village - which is set to open next Saturday - will take influence from Liverpool's Baltic Market, Marine Street Social in New Brighton and Trafford's Altrincham Market.

Based at the Woodside Ferry Terminal, the new venue will see seven food vendors and a bar inside the building with shipping containers housing pop-up shops and businesses outside.

The next food traders to join already announced Bacaro, Sukhothai and Cowfish Smokehouse are Caffe Cream, EastZEast and The Refreshment Rooms.

Caffe Cream, which opening in 2012, produces all its ice creams by hand in Wirral using traditional Italian batch production methods, and sourcing a combination of local ingredients, including milks and creams from local farms, along with ingredients from the very best flavour houses in Italy.

Its 50 awards include the Café/Bistro of the Year Award at the 2019 Liverpool Tourism Awards.

Jason Dooley, from Caffe Cream, said, "We are very proud and excited to be part of Woodside Ferry Village, the latest addition to the Wirral's burgeoning food and drink scene.

"We are delighted to be joining such a fantastic group of other independent producers from across the region, and we will be bringing our famous flair for all things sweet and a scrumptious selection of brunch and lunch options using locally sourced ingredients."

EastZEast restaurant promises traditional and authentic foods of the Punjab, all cooked fresh and with traditional spices.

Starting from small beginnings in 2005, the restaurant chain has grown and now includes branches in Liverpool, Manchester and Blackburn, firmly establishing it as one the leading award winning Asian restaurants in the North West region.

Tahir Hamid of EastZEast is looking forward to bringing the business to Wirral. He said: "The ability to spread the tastes of EastZEast in Wirral is very exciting and being part of this new destination where people can not only have a wide choice and enjoy the foods offered, but also to eat in a great environment overlooking the views of the River Mersey is both appealing and enticing for everyone."

The Refreshment Rooms began life in Rock Ferry in 2012, when co-owners Ian Joyce and Alan Tuohey developed a successful Gastro Pub menu, which they will now be bringing to the customers of Woodside Ferry Village.

Both Alan Tuohey and Ian Joyce agreed about the exciting new venture, "We have over 17 years experience in working together in the food industry, so we are looking forward to being part of Woodside Ferry Village.

"Since we opened in Rock Ferry we have worked incredibly hard on making sure we create menus with something for everyone.”

Sharon Stanton, interim managing director of Woodside Ferry Village, said: "When we set out on this initiative to bring a new food experience to the Birkenhead waterfront, we looked at encouraging vendor concessions to join us in offering a wide range of cuisines which would provide a mix of national and international tastes.

"With Bacaro Pizza, Cowfish Smokehouse, Sukhothai, Caffe Cream, EastZEast and The Refreshment Rooms on board, the diverse food dishes they will be serving will make Woodside not only a place to visit but also bring new life to this fantastic building and the surrounding areas."
