WIRRAL Community Health Trust brought in a car parking management team in January this year.

In their public notices they warned they were not going to be making a profit and patients and visitors can park for a maximum of three hours.

Information about this new management system was shared to staff via the staff bulletin.

Previously, staff had needed to give their car details to the estates department and they had received a red disk for their car to show they were "essential users."

All other staff parked around the back in a car park managed with a barrier, which was a general staff car park until the managers moved the community trust HQ from Old Market House to St Catherine's.

Since the new private company has taken over the management, many essential user staff (eg district nurses and health visitors - that is staff who need to use their car to undertake their daily job) have received parking charge notices to their own homes.

You can imagine what stress this has caused, receiving a PCN at home, when the fault is with the management within the trust to accurately give the car parking management team up to date car registrations, that had been checked by all managers prior to this being implemented.
