A MAN who has broken out of prison has been spotted in Rhyl.

CCTV footage has shown Ronan Korby, at ASDA in Rhyl at about 7.30pm on Sunday, June 2 after absconding from an HMP Leyhill, an open air prison in South Gloucester.

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for help to trace Mr Korby, also known as Lee Watersworth, who also has links to Manchester.

He was last seen in Bristol, where he was due at a work placement, at 10am on Friday, May 31. He failed to return to the prison, where he is serving a sentence for sexual offences.

Korby is described as a white man aged 50, about 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black jacket and jeans and has a tattoo of a sun and eagle on his right forearm.

Anyone coming into contact with Mr Korby is advised not approach him, but instead call 999 immediately, quoting reference 5219120912.

Additionally, anyone with any further information which could help officers trace the man is urged to contact police via avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101.
