A SPECIAL River Mersey cruise will set sail next week in memory of brave Edie Molyneux.

Taking place on Sunday, June 2, the Mersey Ferry cruise will allow guests to take in the views of Liverpool and Wirral while celebrating Edie's life.

The Spider-Ede sunset cruise aims to raise cash for Edie's Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) research under The Bradley Lowery Foundation.

The brave four-year-old was diagnosed with the rare and inoperable brain tumour in 2017.

To give her the very best chance of survival, Edie's family set up a Justgiving page to raise cash for life-saving intra-arterial chemotherapy and immunotherapy in Mexico.

After hearing about the appeal, Bradley Lowery's mum Gemma got in touch with the family and offered to help them under The Bradley Lowery Foundation.

They then set a fundraising target of £700,000 and countless fundraisers stepped in to help raise cash to help Edie reach her target.

Unfortunately Spider Man fan Edie lost her life to DIPG on October 22, 2018.

Wirral Globe:

Since her passing, her family have been determined to not let her death be in vain and continue to raise cash and awareness to help others just like Edie.

This cruise is part of the many fundraisers helping the fight against DIPG.

With a full bar and live music, tickets cost just £20 and include a bus travel from St Joseph's Social Club at 7pm before boarding at 7.15pm at Seacombe Ferry.

The cruise will last until 9.30pm.

In a post, The Spider-Ede Appeal said: "Sunday, June 2 we have our popular Spider-Ede cruise setting sail!

"Come along for live music, full bar and incredible atmosphere onboard the Mersey Ferry!

"We are raising money that will go directly into Edie’s DIPG research fund within The Bradley Lowery Foundation.

"Join us to have a great time and help our future children in the fight against DIPG. As always we look forward to seeing you all there and hope we can raise some much needed funds."
