NEW Brighton lifeboat crew were called to rescue the passengers of a power boat that had broken down.
The volunteers were alerted by UK Coastguard on Monday afternoon to reports that the vessel was stranded in the Crosby channel.
Njord Offshore's Njord Lapwing attached the craft to a lifebuoy line before the New Brighton crew towed the stranded vessel and its four passengers to Liverpool Marina.
The lifeboat crew returned to the station at 6.52pm.
