A TEAM of radiographers from Arrowe Park Hospital is preparing to drive through eight European countries for charity.
Cara, Jenny, Grace and Emma - also known as 'The Dosebusters' - will take part in the Motoscape Rally to raise funds for Wirral University Teaching Hospital Trust's charity.
Leaving Arrowe Park Hospital on Friday, September 6, the group will drive across eight countries in five days: UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Italy.
They hope to cross the finish line in Venice on September 11 and have an ambitious target to raise £15,000, leading up to the final event in September.
A team spokeswoman said: "We have already had some great support from our colleagues in our department, but we need your help! So let’s #motorvateforthe8!
"Our next event is planned with fire fighters at Heswall fire station on May 25 between 10am-4pm.
"We would love as many people as possible to come and meet the team and get your car washed!"
As Radiographers the team undertake a broad portfolio of diagnostic examinations and work including X-ray, ultrasound and magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
A vital aspect to their role is ensuring that any radiation dose used is safely monitored which is why they have named themselves "The Dosebusters".
Victoria Burrows, head of fundraising for Wirral University Teaching Hospital said: "The team are doing a fantastic job and already have over £6000 towards their target!
