A NEW play about the life of Cynthia Lennon will premiere during International Beatleweek.
This Girl, created by Mike Howl, will tell the story of Cynthia Powell, a student from Hoylake who fell in love with a young musician called John when they met at Liverpool Art College in 1957.
Cynthia went on to become John's wide and mother to Julian.
Set to be performed at Hope Street Theatre from 21 to 26 August, This Girl documents the emotional journey of Cynthia's life before, during and after The Beatles.
Director and local playwright Mike said: "It tells the story of a lovely person whose life was full of good times and bad times, but also one peppered with laughter and humour."
