I HAVE just received a copy of the Globe and would like to congratulate you on your neutrality in again printing letters from the polar (blinkered) opposites of the political spectrum - namely Mr Nuttall on the right and Mr Roberts on the left.
I enjoy these and would normally, on balance, side with the latter as I too would like to see a more left leaning and socially responsible Government.
However, I must on this occasion take issue with Mr Roberts re Julian Assange.
I absolutely agree that he shouldn't be extradited to the USA, but the issue surely is the charges he faces in Sweden concerning alleged rape and sexual assault.
Those he should answer as a priority.
Dianne Abbott made the same error in the House of Commons of seeming to totally ignore this matter.
It does the left no favours at all to appear to exclude women from their world view.
Let Mr Assange answer these charges and leave the PC posturing until after these have been dealt with.
Or do we deem Sweden as being incapable of administering justice, which would be laughable with the UK's history of mistrials and appalling political decisions (rendition to Libya anyone?).
