AN award-winning theatre company will bring Romeo and Juliet to Ness Gardens this summer.
Prescot-based Imaginarium Theatre will present Shakespeare's greatest love story throughout June and July around Merseyside.
The production will feature carnival rhythms, merging with Italian Opera, explosive fight choreography, thrilling fire dancing and masks.
Romeo and Juliet will appear at Ness Gardens on Sunday, June 30 at 6pm.
Artistic director and chief executive of Imaginarium, Gaynor La Rocca said: "We are delighted to be once again working in partnership with the Shakespeare North Trust, Arts Council England and the Royal Shakespeare Company as we re-launch as Imaginarium Theatre UK.
"Over 100 community performers and volunteers have been involved in the creative process, and the accompanying schools Arts Awards programme ‘Violent Ends’ will engage a further 6000 young people exploring issues surrounding knife crime, choice and consequence."
Other performances will take places in Reynolds Park in Woolton, Crosby Hall, Croxteth Hall, Sudley House and Prescot Woodland Theatre.
Event goers are also invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the romantic tale.
