A CHILD has been airlifted to hospital after a fall in York.
Emergency services were called to fields off Maple Grove, close to the River Ouse, at about 11.40am today.
A spokeswoman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said paramedics and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were sent to the scene, after reports that a child had fallen in the park.
The spokeswoman could not confirm the age or gender of the child, but said they had been airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.
