A POLICE dog helped arrest a 31-year-old man after a police car chase in Birkenhead
At around 8.55am on Tuesday, April 16 police began chasing a suspected stolen Vauxhall Zafira on the A41 in Eastham.
A short time later the stolen car crashed into several parked cars on Raffles Road causing damage but no injuries.
The driver, a man from Oxton, ran off and was detained a short time later with help from PD Malik.
He was arrested on suspicion of theft of a car and drug driving.
He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
It is believed that the car was stolen from Great Sutton earlier that morning.
