A MAN was taken to hospital following a concern for safety in Birkenhead.
Emergency services were called at around 12.50pm today (Monday, April 15) to the Rock Ferry By-Pass following a concern for the safety of a man on a bridge.
It is believed that members of the public stopped to speak to the man.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was detained under the Mental Health Act a short time later and has been taken to hospital for assessment.
