TWO Wirral men have been charged after a serious assault in Liverpool.
Emergency services were called to Cumberland Street last night (Tuesday, April 9) following reports three men were punched and kicked.
The victims suffered multiple cuts and swelling to their faces as a result.
Peter Cavanagh, 31, from Beechwood was charged with two counts of actual bodily harm, common assault and assault of an emergency worker.
Matthew Connor, 31, from Tranmere was charged with actual bodily harm.
A third man, Samuel Thomas, 27, from Bootle was also charged with two counts of actual bodily harm and common assault.
All three men were arrested shortly after the incident and charged.
They have been bailed to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on May 8.
