NOMINATIONS are now open for this year’s Wirral Sports Awards to recognise the borough's dedicated sports stars.
The annual event is open to anyone who lives in Wirral and people are now able to nominate those who have made a significant achievements in sports.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the presentation awards evening at Hulme Hall in Port Sunlight on Thursday, October 10 at Hulme Hall in Port Sunlight.
Nominations are now open for the following categories:
- Club of the year
- Coach of the year
- Volunteer of the year
- Young volunteer of the year
- Young sportsperson of the year
- Lifetime achievement award
- Special recognition for contribution to sport
- School sports team of the year (girls)
- School sports team of the year (boys)
- School sports department of the year
All short-listed candidates will be invited to the presentation awards evening to collect their awards and the winners will be announced on the night.
Closing date for nominations is Wednesday, July 31.
