WITH the local elections due I hope large numbers of Wirral residents will decide to use their vote.
I believe that the council tax I pay should be used to provide local services to the residents and not wasted the present council have lent money to councils at a very low rate of interest and being challenged by the opposition have decided to start buying property i.e the Vue Cinema in Birkenhead.
Once again, when forced to produce a plan for green belt development the director concerned decided to resign again a senior manager not being capable of the job, this is when the council get consultants at vast daily rates.
We also have Government money being awarded that isn’t being fully used and as one official stated it would weaken the council policy of saying they are under funded by central Government.
Now a part of my council bill to fund the Regional Mayor so he can use our money to fund projects in Liverpool – charity begins at home so let's use that on Wirral.
