A WOMAN was taken to hospital after slipping on the promenade in Moreton.
Emergency services were called at around 3.20pm on Sunday, March 23 following reports a woman had slipped on the promenade embankment and had suffered from a suspected head injury and broken wrist.
Wirral coastguard officers attended and assisted North West Ambulance Service paramedics by transferring her to an ambulance.
The coastguard then helped the ambulance pass through coastal height barriers.
New Brighton RNLI crews were also called but stepped down en route.
If you see someone in difficulty on the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
