POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was stabbed in the back in Bebington.
Officers were called to Woodburn Boulevard at 6.40pm on Saturday, March 16 following reports a 19-year-old man had been stabbed in the back.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was described by police as serious but stable.
House to house, forensic and CCTV analysis is ongoing to identify those responsible.
Detective Inspector Lee Wilkinson said: “Anyone who chooses to pick up a knife could be throwing away their lives and destroying the lives of others.
"We want anyone who saw this crime take place or knows who is responsible to get in touch as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could help with the investigation is asked to DM @MerPolCC or call 101 quoting incident 754 of March 16.
