DRIVERS were told to avoid Carr Lane in Hoylake over the weekend due to a fallen light stanchion.
A light stanchion at Hoylake Station fell over during strong winds on Saturday, March 16 at around 2.30pm.
This meant that the road barriers on Carr Lane were in a down position.
It is believed the issue was fixed before 7pm.
Merseyrail advised passengers to find an alternative route if they were travelling by road.
