MORE bad weather is heading towards Wirral as forecasters issue another warning for wind.
The Met Office has issued the severe 'yellow' weather warning for gusts of wind up to 70mph on Saturday, March 16 from 4am until 9pm.
Along with this warning, there are three other warnings in place across the UK for snow and rain.
Some bus and train services may suffer disruption due to the adverse weather and difficult driving conditions are expected.
Temperatures will remain cold and could be accentuated due to the strength of the wind.
Coastal areas such as New Brighton will be affected by spray and/or large waves and residents are being warned to stay safe and be aware of flying debris.
A Met Office spokesman said: "A developing area of low pressure is expected to track across Northern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland on Saturday.
"On the southern flank of this system, strong winds are expected, the strongest of these are likely to affect coastal and immediately adjacent regions of the west and south of England and Wales.
"Gusts of 50-60 mph are expected quite widely, with some more exposed locations seeing wind gusts of around 70 mph, mainly in coastal areas and just inland."
