HESWALL'S Burnt Truffle is set to host a wine dinner next week.

The restaurant, whose famous fans include none other than Paul McCartney, will offer a tasting menu paired with delicious glasses from importer and wholesaler Liberty Wines on Friday, March 22.

Hosted by Heswall's own Gary Usher and Jem Cowan from Liberty Wines, the event will boast some indulgent dishes such as glazed pig cheek, buttered parsnips and caraway paired with 2015 El Coto Garnacha; sirloin of beef with wild garlic butter and leek mornay paired with 2017 Bodegas Garzon plus doughnuts, blood orange ice cream, celery granita and almonds paired with 2018 Contero, Moscato d'Asti di Strevi.

General manager at Burnt Truffle, Cris Slocombe told the Globe: "We're very excited to be welcoming Gary and Jem back to Burnt Truffle for our next wine dinner.

"We've created a really special menu and the matching wines are exceptional.

"We look forward to welcoming guests for what promises to be an unforgettable dining experience."
