WIRRAL born footballer Will Vaulks has been handed his first call-up to the Wales squad
The 25-year-old Rotherham midfielder qualifies for Wales through his mother.
Manager Ryan Giggs revealed his 31-man squad at a press conference today (Tuesday, March 12).
Having played for Tranmere, Workington and Falkirk,Vaulks is said to have impressed Giggs with his performances as captain for Rotherham United.
During a press conference Giggs said: "It's been an interesting journey for Will.
"Released by Tranmere, he was in the system in Wales at 15, 16, then went up to Scotland and came back down to England and is now captain of Rotherham.
"It's a fantastic story and just proves never give up."
Also revealed in the squad is Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and Ashley Williams, who is on loan at Stoke from Everton, is set to remain welsh captain for the forthcoming European Championship campaign.
The squad will face Trinidad & Tobago in a friendly on Wednesday, March 20 at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground before the Euro 2020 qualifying game against Slovakia on Sunday, March 24 in Cardiff.
