A WIRRAL shooting range is using pictures of IS bride Shamima Begum for target practice.

Ultimate Airsoft Range Ltd, based in the WW2 tunnels of New Brighton, said they are using the images after receiving a "record number of requests from customers."

Children as young as six-years-old can visit the site and it is available to hire for parties.

Other targets at the range include Jose Mourinho, Justin Bieber, Donald Trump, Margaret Thatcher, Osama Bin Laden, Kim Jong-Un and Adolf Hitler.

A spokesman for the range told the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme that the target provides "light-hearted fun for their customers."

They added: "The targets provide some fantastic reactions and conversations and allow people to have some light-hearted fun and bring out the inner child in us all.

"The targets don't necessarily always reflect personal opinions and don't want to condone terrorism but after watching footage of Shamima Begum's interview and seeing her lack or remorse and empathy, they then decided to go ahead and listen to their customers to use those images as targets."

Angela Eagle told the programme that is is wrong to have real people in targets because they could be "misinterpreted" and that she is not in favour of having "living people as targets" regardless of who they are as it gives out the "wrong message especially to people who are as young as six."

Begum, 19, was one of three schoolgirls who left the UK to travel to Syria and marry an IS fighter when she was just 15.

The teenager, who married Dutch IS fighter Yago Riedijk, had two older children who both died.

She now wants to return to the UK for the sake of her newborn third child, but has been stripped of her British citizenship.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid made the move on advice that she qualified for Bangladeshi citizenship through her mother, although authorities there have said they will not let her enter the country.
