THERE'S still time to sign up to bungee jump to help brave Poppy Dickson receive life-changing adaptations to her home.

Five-year-old Poppy, from Upton, has been under the care of Alder Hey Children's Hospital since she was born and has had more than 100 operations to keep her alive.

Due to her complex needs and being in a wheelchair, Poppy's family home needs crucial adaptations to help her have full independence as she gets older.

Although her parents have secured a grant from the council to fund some of the work, Poppy's family have had to create a fundraising campaign in a bid to raise an extra £15,000 to give Poppy the independence she deserves.

So far the JustGiving page launched by her mum Lisa Dean has now raised £6,860 of the target.

Wirral Globe:

Since first appearing in the Globe, many people have approached the family asking what they can do to help and so a fundraising day is set to be held at The Overchurch pub in Upton on Saturday, March 2.

On the day there will be bouncy castles, entertainment, face painting, raffles and food but there will also be the chance for brave volunteers to take part in a bungee jump to raise cash for Poppy.

Lisa told the Globe: "We are looking for jumpers to take part in the bungee jump with a sponsorship that will taking place at The Overchurch pub.

"Anyone who wants to take part can call in for a sponsorship form at the pub or contact myself via the Justgiving page.

"All the money raised will go to Poppy."
