AS a Wirral resident I would like to remind our inept council of its obligations.
I refer to the recent debacle regarding bin collections or, should I say, a lack of.
I am aware that adverse weather conditions meant a temporary halt to proceedings, due to safety issues, but with the onset of milder weather this was short lived.
After seeking advice from the authority, I was informed to leave the bin out for collection, whilst the backlog was dealt with.
So, why on earth has it taken approximately 14 days after the scheduled collection date to be emptied?
During this time it was used as a makeshift skip for others to deposit their rubbish in to.
Am I to receive a rebate on my council tax or will they just implement yet another increase, to fill up the coffers.
I suspect the answer to that question is the latter.
