AS fast as our natural landscape in Wirral shrinks where the continual disgraceful felling of our rapid dwindling tree population, controversial 4g and 5g mobile phone masts pop up everywhere as we look through our windows.

Are these horrible giant structures becoming the 'new tree', the new ‘giant God’ transmitting their webs of microwaves around us and through us?

Our health is now threatened more than ever by ignorant decisions made by those in high places, including within our own local authorities.

Wirral Council's free newspaper Wirral View (continually promoted by council leader Phil Davies) reminded its readers last week that this year is National year of the Environment.

That, with headline news that the entire insect population on our planet will be extinct in the next several decades the rate they are presently being killed off, not helped by tree felling and pesticide use by local authorities landowners, etc.

We all have a responsibility in helping sustain the future of humankind our wildlife and this delicate beautiful planet, not least do our local authorities and Government.
