THIS year will see the busiest cruise programme yet for Mersey Ferries with 30 events set to take place.

Running between May and September the Evening Cruises will see the return of popular summer cruises and tributes to much-loved artists such as ABBA, Take That, Spice Girls, Queen, George Michael and The Beatles.

The programme will also host cruises such as Big Band Swing, Motown, 90s Party, Sounds of the 70s and an 80s Party.

A cruise centred on cult classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show will recreate the sounds of the cinema sensation, bringing all the humour and outrageousness of the show to the river, while a range of other cruises, including a Las Vegas-themed cruise with a fun casino on board, will entertain those who enjoy an innocent flutter on the roulette wheel

Gary Evans, from Mersey Ferries said: "This year will be our most ambitious programme of cruises and events, and we’ve looked to provide a range of options for everyone.

"We’ve spent time working with our customers to understand what works for them, and what, from previous years, they’ve enjoyed from our entertainment offering.

“The Summer Evening Cruise programme allows us to showcase great local music talent, while the themed cruises provide something completely unique in terms of entertainment and performance.

"These live shows on the water have the UNESCO World Heritage waterfront as a backdrop and are an experience that shouldn’t be missed this year.

“We really do believe that this will be our most successful season, thanks to the diversity of our offer, our weekend sailings and the quality of the entertainment we’ve booked.

"We’re already looking forward to welcoming our customers on board.”

Tickets for the 2019 Evening Cruise programme start from £16 per person. Drinks and refreshments are available to buy on all cruises from the fully licensed bar.
