TWO women were chased by a man wearing a 'tight black bodysuit' in Bidston Moss.

Officers received a report that at around 4.10pm on Wednesday, February 6 two women had been followed by a man in a wooded area close to B&Q on Bidston Link Road.

The women were chased until they reached a gate leading into the B&Q car park and the man ran away.

No injuries were reported but the women have been left very distressed.

The man is white, tall, slim and was wearing a black bodysuit with a tight black hood, small dark green bag and black sport style sunglasses.

Anyone who may have information on the man or the incident is urged to contact Merseyside Police.

Community policing inspector Paul Harrison said: “We are making enquiries to establish exactly what happened but the women were understandably upset to be followed and I would ask anyone who has seen a man matching this description or has seen anything suspicious recently in this area to come forward.

“We will act on all information to ensure that we identify this man and ensure that people are able to continue walking safely in the area.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on social media @MerPolCC, call 101 with reference 900 of 6 February or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
