A GROUP of Chester University students has organised a vegan food and drink-themed night in aid of Claire House Children's Hospice.

'Cooking and Cocktails' will take place at Northgate Church in Upper Northgate Street, Chester on February 18.

Guests are invited to attend a cocktail masterclass taught by a professional mixologist and enjoy a vegan buffet masterclass with an experienced chef.

The event, which promises to be fun, informative and hands-on, is hosted by Fabulous Foodies, a group of four Events Management students from Chester University.

The event aims to educate guests on different food combinations and techniques, focusing on a vegan diet.

Chloe Bayton, the Fabulous Foodies team leader, said: "We are so excited to host this event, not only for our guests to try a new way of cooking in a fun, relaxed environment, but also to help our fabulous charity."

Avril Parr, community fundraiser for Claire House, said: "This is a fabulous event concept, which is quirky, intriguing and educational.

"Claire House is currently only reaching every one in two children who need our help, so this event will enable us to reach more poorly children across the region."

The event takes place at Northgate Church on February 18 from 6.30pm until 10pm.

Tickets, £25 per person, are available via email at fabulousfoodies99@gmail.com, or by contacting Fabulous Foodies on Facebook (Fabulous Foodies) or Instagram (@foodiesfabulous).
