FUN-LOVING dog Alfie is looking for his forever family.

Collie cross Alfie is very affectionate and always loves a cuddle but would be best suited in a single adult home.

The seven-year-old four-legged friend is currently at Dogs Trust Merseyside but staff are hoping to rehome him soon.

A spokeswoman from Dogs Trust Merseyside said: "Alfie is a fun-loving collie cross who loves to bury his toys and chew on plastic bottles.

"He builds such strong bonds with people, which helps. He is usually found with one of his carers, helping to socialise the other dogs.

"Alfie often runs in a group with newbies, or out for long walk with them, showing them what’s where.

Wirral Globe:

"Alfie gets along with dogs outside the house but in the home, he tends to be a little possessive over toys and treats so will need to be the only dog in the home, but with a bevy of walking buddies.

"Because he builds such strong bonds with people, and has a tendency to want to protect things he feels are important, Alfie will be best suited to a single person adult home.

"He's very affectionate and soppy, and perfectly house-trained."
