POLICE are hunting for a man who is wanted after failing to appear for sentencing.

David Walsh, 54, from Morecambe was due to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on March 9, 2018 after he was found guilty of assault, harassment and criminal damage against three women.

Some of his victims, witnesses and police officers in the case have since been harassed and threatened with serious harm.

It is believed that Walsh left Morecambe and fled to France in July but he is now thought to be back in the UK.

He has links across Merseyside and Lancashire.

PC Helen Stanley from Lancaster Police said: “It’s important that we find Walsh quickly and so I would urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to get in touch at their earliest opportunity.

“I would urge anyone who sees Walsh not to approach him but to call the police.”

Walsh is white, 5ft 7ins, of medium build, may have short brown hair and speaks with a Liverpool accent.

If you have any seen Walsh or know where he is, email 8814@lancashire.pnn.police.uk or call 01524 596627.
